Crop Farming
Farming is essential for sustainable food and trading. Crops grow faster near water (hydrated farmland) and with bone meal. Below are all farmable crops and their details:

Hydrated farmland (4 blocks of water within a 9x9 area) grows crops fastest. Waterlogged blocks like waterlogged slabs also hydrate soil. Place water in the center of a 9x9 grid — one water block hydrates a 9x9 area. Torches or glowstone speed up night growth by preventing hostile mobs.
Animal Breeding
Animals breed when fed their favorite food. Baby animals take 20 minutes to mature — feeding them accelerates growth by 10% per feed (2.5 minutes per feed). Breed multiple animals for a sustainable food source.

Best XP Farms
Experience (XP) is needed for enchanting, anvil repairs and combining items. Here are the best XP farms ranked by efficiency:
⭐ Enderman Farm
Build in the End outer islands. Use endermite in a minecart to attract endermen, then water stream to a killing chamber. Yield: ~30-50 levels/min. Best farm in the game.
🔥 Blaze Farm
Nether fortress spawner. Build a box around the spawner, funnel blazes to a killing chamber. Yield: ~15-25 levels/min. Also gives blaze rods for fuel.
⚡ Guardian Farm
Ocean monument. Drain the monument, create spawn platforms, funnel guardians to a drop chute. Yield: ~50-80 levels/min. Most powerful, hardest to build.
🪦 Spawner Farm
Dungeon spawner (zombie, skeleton, spider). Build a box, drop chute, water stream to a chamber. Yield: ~10-20 levels/min. Excellent early-game.
💀 Wither Skeleton Farm
Nether fortress corridors. Platforms for spawning, wither roses to block other mobs. Yield: ~5-10 levels/min. Also drops skulls.
🌾 Furnace XP Farm
Bamboo/cactus auto-smelting. Smelted items give XP when collected from furnace. Yield: ~5-10 levels/min. AFK-friendly.
Villager Trading
Villager trading is the most reliable way to get Mending books, diamond gear, and emeralds. Set up a trading hall with multiple villagers:
- Librarian (lectern) — Enchanted books (Mending, Sharpness V, Efficiency V, Protection IV). Best source of top-tier enchantments.
- Armorer (blast furnace) — Diamond armor, chainmail. Useful for gearing up.
- Toolsmith (smithing table) — Diamond tools (pickaxe, axe, sword, shovel).
- Farmer (composter) — Emeralds for crops. Best renewable emerald source.
- Cleric (brewing stand) — Redstone, glowstone, bottles, ender pearls.
- Fletcher (fletching table) — Arrows, bows, crossbows. Sticks for emeralds.
Pro tip: Cure a zombie villager (splash weakness potion + golden apple) to get permanent discounts — trades drop to 1 emerald. Breed villagers to create infinite trading partners.
Farm Automation
Auto crop farm: A villager farmer collects crops while a hopper minecart runs under the farm blocks. Observer + piston detects crop growth and collects mature crops. Alternatively, a water flush system periodically floods the farm.
Auto animal farm: Two animals in a breeding chamber, babies pushed through water into a holding pen. Use an autoclicker or pressure plate with eggs for chicken farms.
Auto XP farm: A grindstone converts enchanted items to XP. An auto-sorter separates weapons/armor from farm drops, feeds them to a dispenser into a grindstone for easy XP.
Auto tree farm: Bonemeal a sapling with an observer-piston system, then break the grown tree with a TNT duper (advanced). Simple version: manual bone meal + axe.
